On-Location Services Provided

Douglas Technical Services specializes in location video & audio productions for local, national and international organizations. Production types include: TV magazine, documentary, corporate, education, news, and satellite uplink projects.

We regularly crew single and multi-camera productions with experienced videographer/DP, sound recordist, and PAs. Field producer, wardrobe, gaffer, makeup, teleprompter, photographers, on-camera talent and other positions are also available. DTS is now equipped to shoot PAL-formated productions in HD and DVcam. This is a great benefit for European customers needing production services in the Pacific Northwest.

New Panasonic High Definition Camera Available!

We're excited to offer our new Panasonic HDX900 hi-def camera with wide angle lens for HD shoots in Oregon and throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is a very versatile camera that records in 1080i/p and 720p at many frame rates. With this camera, comes a Fujinon HA16X6.3BERM wide angle lens that has a good amount of telephoto as well and is a full spec HD lens. This package also includes an Ikegami HD 8.4" high resolution LCD field monitor that shows all HD and SD formats.

Equipment Package

CAMERAS: Panasonic HDX900 hi-def camera with wide angle lens for HD shoots in Oregon and throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is a very versatile camera that records in 1080i/p and 720p at many frame rates. Sony D35ws and Sony 637 with PVV-3 Beta SP or DVcam recorders, plus matte box and filters. Both packages include clear scan, camera-light, tripod and field monitor. Our handheld wireless field monitors are a hit with field producers. MiniDV: Panasonic DVX-100B camera with accessories. This is a great little camera that is being used for Reality TV shows, corporate work and as a b-roll camera on Beta shoots. Camera lights include: Frezzi 24 watt HMI unit with softbox or diffussed glass or Lowel Pro light with 100 watt tungsten lamps.

LIGHTING: Full ENG/EFP lighting package includes: Sunray 575 watt HMI, Mole 200 watt HMI, ARRI, Kino-Flo 4 tube Diva, Lowel & LTM fixtures with Chimeras and Source 4 JR gobo pattern light. Lowel DV Creator Kit with accessories. Small, large and 6'x6' flag kits with nets, flags, silk & green-screen; color correction & diffusion materials; C-stands, flex-fills, seamless background and assorted grip gear. Plus, a large marine battery system for remote shoots and generator.

SOUND: Sound packages includes: shotguns, several wireless systems, 2-3 channel field mixers, Mackie 1402 mixer, hand-held and lavaliere mics, stereo mics, break-a-way cables and more.

EDITING: Editing system includes: dual processor G5 & G4 Macs with compressed and non compressed Final Cut Pro systems, Pro Tools, Photoshop, DVD Studio Pro, Toast and over a terabyte of hard drive space. Mastering & source formats: Beta SP, DVcam, miniDV, CD and DVD.

SPECIALTY GEAR: Eagle II Doorway Dolly with combo 5' Trovoto Jib Arm & Pedestal. The doorway dolly has removable wings, push handles and a removable pedestal for the jib. The jib arm can handle up to 50 pounds and can be used on the dolly or on a tripod. The jib and the dolly are very portable.
